Serqet Ibizan Hounds has been one of the premier names in the breed since the early 80s with the acquisition of our foundation bitch, CH Khensu's Aset of Serqet. Since then, Elaine has worked very hard to create a very distinguishable line of Ibizan Hounds which excel in every discipline. Combining with many top names in the breed, the Serqet name has become synonymous with beautiful breed type, incredible soundness and unmatched form and function.

Our most prominent dog was, without question, CH Serqet Castlemaghn Legend aka "Hogan", who produced multiple group winning/placing Ibizan Hounds as well as a multiple BIS/BISS winner and two grand-daughters who have won Best in Shows. Hogan is a former Top Producing Ibizan Hound sire of 2000 & 2002. Hogan's mother, CH Serqet Scarlet Fox Flame was the top producing Ibizan Hound dam of 1999. Hogan passed away on Elaine's birthday in March of 2010 and took a big piece of several hearts with him. Thankfully, he was able to stamp the breed with several fabulous offspring and he will live on forever through his progeny.

In 2002, Elaine met up with Sarah Murphy who joined Serqet after the acquisition of her first Ibizan Hound, CH Serqet Rio Afortunado. Elaine was involved with the breeding and also her own grooming shop, while Sarah was involved with the training/showing of all of the dogs. Elaine is now retired from breeding and has "passed the torch" onto Sarah, who plans to breed under the Abbaio prefix. Sarah is also involved with a few other breeds and has shown dogs in all groups while working as assistant to professional handler Margery Good. She aspires to breed the best possible Ibizan Hounds and to become a successful professional handler.
